Curtain Wall Design as Engineering Judgment
Curtain Wall Design as Engineering Judgment How SunFrame Integrates Structure, Materials, and Interfaces in Complex Façade Projects In many projects, curtain walls are often seen
Does the curtain wall sound a bit cool? Don’t worry, it is actually the “coat” of the building. Imagine if the building is a fashionista, then the curtain wall is its high-end custom dress – it must be beautiful, practical, and suitable for the occasion. At SUNFRAME, we are the “tailor”, specializing in tailoring unique “coats” for buildings in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. We don’t do “fast fashion”, we only do “high-end customization” so that each building can wear its own style.
You may ask: “Isn’t it okay to use ready-made curtain walls?” Well, this question is like asking: “Why can’t you wear the same clothes to attend a wedding, climb a mountain, and go on a beach vacation?” The answer is simple – it’s not suitable! Dubai’s skyscrapers need to withstand the scorching sun and wind and sand in the desert, Jakarta’s commercial complexes must remain elegant in the humidity of the rainforest, and Cairo’s cultural center must also communicate with ancient history. Every building has its “character” and “occasion”, and the ready-made curtain wall is obviously not “intimate” enough.
Customization is to make the curtain wall and the building “in tune with each other”. It is not only a technical adaptation, but also an emotional resonance. We believe that only by truly understanding the story of the building can we create the most suitable “outerwear” for it.
Listening and resonance: talk first, then start work
Before each project starts, we will sit down with the customer and chat like old friends. We want to know, what does this building mean to you? What dreams and expectations does it carry? We are not only suppliers, but also listeners and co-creators of stories. After all, only with true understanding can we achieve true customization.
