Rising over Doha’s West Bay, the Burj Al Mana Tower has a story few see behind its gleaming façade. It’s about a client who dreamed big and a SunFrame team who rolled up their sleeves to make that dream real. Every panel, every connection reflects the dedication and care poured into turning a bold idea into reality.
The project began with a daring idea: a fully welded, perforated aluminum façade. Stunning in concept, but challenging in practice. Total reliance on manual welding risked uneven finishes, heavy labor demands, and steep costs. Many façade companies hesitated. SunFrame initially stepped back, recognizing the complexity and aesthetic stakes.
The opportunity returned through a renewed inquiry. Mr. Liang, SunFrame’s Chief Engineer, took the lead, asking a crucial question: Could edges remain crisp and the finish flawless without conventional welding?
The solution required a full redesign. Nearly a year of concept development followed. Every connection, framework, and panel was reimagined. CNC machining and precise 45° finishing techniques allowed each groove and joint to be simulated and perfected. The design emerged elegant, efficient, and structurally sound.
Once the design was clear in Mr. Liang’s mind, it was translated into detailed 3D models. Every Mashrabia shading panel, every aluminum profile, was modeled to ensure alignment, durability, and aesthetic harmony. Decisions on materials and connections prioritized long-term reliability, installation accuracy, and visual cohesion.
The completed façade unites Mashrabia’s cultural heritage with modern manufacturing finesse. Aluminum components achieve a delicate balance—structural integrity, installation efficiency, and visual sophistication. SunFrame proved that thoughtful engineering and innovative problem-solving can transform a seemingly impossible challenge into a regional architectural benchmark.
Today, Burj Al Mana Tower embodies SunFrame’s promise: precision engineering, innovative solutions, and exacting craftsmanship. From concept refinement to installation of 42,000 m² of unitized glass curtain wall and 37,000 m² of Mashrabia panels, the project exemplifies full-spectrum expertise in high-performance façades and sets a new standard for excellence.
