SunFrame’s Key Contributions
Culturally Inspired Mashrabiya
System
Drawing from Qatar’s Islamic architectural traditions, SunFrame designed and fabricated intricate aluminum mashrabiya screens. Also, the precise geometric aesthetics with practical benefits like solar shading, privacy, and natural ventilation are combined in the design.
Innovative Skylight Systems
To introduce natural daylight while preserving energy efficiency, SunFrame integrated custom flat aluminum and glass skylights along with an ETFE dome skylight. These lightweight yet durable structures enhance interior illumination while minimizing heat gain.
High-Performance Perforated Aluminum Panels
The mosque’s facade incorporates 10 mm thick perforated aluminum panels, engineered for durability, visual depth, and thermal insulation. These panels are made to present architectural expression and offer functional protection against the harsh desert climate.
Custom Doors & Windows
The project also featured specially designed aluminum doors and windows with advanced thermal and weather resistance, ensuring optimal performance and seamless integration with the facade system.
Project Significance
The QET-JMA project stands as a testament to SunFrame’s ability to merge cultural identity with contemporary facade engineering. This project has further solidified SunFrame’s leading position in the Middle East market, consistently delivering aluminum facade solutions that integrate sustainability, innovation, and visual excellence.
