How the Name SunFrame Took Shape

The name SunFrame was born out of a decision to begin again, after years of exploration and reflection.

Before founding SunFrame, Mr. Liang had gone through several entrepreneurial and partnership attempts. At different stages, he worked to understand how businesses operate and how collaborations function in practice, while also encountering a wide range of challenges. Over time, these experiences accumulated, gradually weighing on both confidence and direction.

The year 2015 marked a low point. For an entire year, no new business came in. The pause forced a reexamination of past choices. It became increasingly clear that change does not come solely from external conditions, but also from how decisions are made and how paths are chosen.

Yet the original motivation to build something of his own never faded. He remained determined to create a company capable of operating independently, guided by clear logic and long-term judgment. With this conviction, he chose to start over.

Supported by an established manufacturing foundation, the company began to shape its business structure with a focus on overseas markets. Throughout this process, he consciously set aside old habits and assumptions, rethinking direction and approach from the ground up.

How the Name SunFrame Took Shape

It was in this state of renewal that the name SunFrame gradually took shape.

The first idea was the Chinese character “,” meaning new.

It represents a fresh beginning and a willingness to move beyond previous patterns. Soon after, the word “Sun” naturally came to mind. The sun symbolizes light and hope, and in Cantonese, “Sun” shares the same pronunciation as “新.” This linguistic and emotional resonance made the word feel instinctively right.

Then came “.”

Phonetically close to “Frame,” the character “扉” points to architectural structure and framework. It also carries the meaning of a first page, like opening a book to the beginning of a new chapter. More concretely, “扉” refers to doors and windows, which aligns directly with SunFrame’s focus on windows, curtain wall systems, and building envelopes. New openings, new systems, and a new direction converge naturally in this single character.

“新扉” thus became SunFrame.

From a personal perspective, the name did not emerge from a purely rational exercise. It was more a natural result of long-term accumulation.

Over the years, Mr. Liang has maintained a cautious approach to expression. Rather than speaking quickly, he prefers to respond after gaining clarity and confirmation. In practice, this developed into a consistent way of working: understanding the matter thoroughly, establishing solid logic and details, and then moving forward with communication and decisions. Recognition grounded in facts became the foundation for confidence.

This approach was not formed overnight. It evolved through repeated reflection and experience. Expression, in this sense, is not an end in itself, but something that grows out of a clear understanding of what truly matters.

When it came time to name the company, the idea of opening one’s inner door surfaced almost instinctively. It did not point to a single moment of change, but rather reflected a path that had already begun and continued to unfold.

The name SunFrame records the opening of a new chapter after years of exploration. It also reflects a consistent orientation: moving forward through understanding, and taking action after careful confirmation.

It is a name that appeared naturally, after change had already taken place.
