At the 2025 China (Indonesia) Export Brand Joint Expo, the SunFrame team had extensive on-site conversations with developers, contractors, and other industry participants. These exchanges helped clarify the practical project environment in Indonesia, along with emerging patterns in building typologies and future demand.
Discussions at the exhibition revealed that the Indonesian market is showing increasing diversity in its selection of curtain wall and window systems.
As project types continue to evolve, facade system solutions offering improved performance in energy efficiency and thermal insulation are drawing greater attention. Thermally broken systems and insulated glazing configurations are increasingly being viewed as important options for future project development.
At the exhibition, SunFrame’s perforated butterfly aluminum panels and diversified glass façade solutions attracted strong interest from professional visitors.
Compared with more conventional façade forms, systems offering higher design flexibility and expressive architectural possibilities demonstrated clear appeal, particularly for resort-style and character-driven projects.
The Indonesian building market is shaped mainly by resort projects, boutique hospitality developments, and low-rise residential buildings, where attention is placed on both user experience and architectural appearance.
As a result, ultra-slim frame windows and mid- to high-end window systems became frequent discussion topics, with growing expectations for airtightness, stability, and overall system quality.
For many local clients, the exhibition served as an opportunity to gain deeper insight into China’s façade engineering and manufacturing ecosystem.
Through face-to-face communication, participants developed a more comprehensive and tangible understanding of Chinese companies’ capabilities in system development, engineering coordination, and large-scale manufacturing.
Against a backdrop of varied energy conditions, green and energy-efficient solutions emerged as an important topic of discussion.
Photovoltaic glass and related systems attracted considerable interest due to their potential application in sustainable buildings. This was particularly evident in hotel and resort projects, where energy efficiency and environmental performance continue to gain importance.
As island development projects progress, façade systems are increasingly expected to deliver not only structural and performance solutions, but also effective integration with lighting, landscape, and architectural expression.
From a user perspective, comfort has become an increasingly important consideration. Acoustic performance, structural stability, and long-term durability were frequently highlighted during project discussions.
While different markets adopt different technical parameters and application practices, systems designed with higher performance margins offer greater flexibility and potential for future project upgrades.
The Indonesia exhibition served as both a platform for product presentation and a chance to better understand regional market needs.
Moving forward, SunFrame will work closely with partners, applying its engineering expertise and system capabilities to deliver façade and window solutions suited to local architectural contexts and project requirements.
