Sanlam Tower is a kind of modern office complex. It is located above Waiyaki Way which is in the heart of Nairobi, covering approximately 343,000 square feet. As one of landmarks in Kenya, it is also built to create a 21st century high-performance business environment. Its exist sets a new standard in sustainability and luxury. 

Curtain Wall System Specifications

In this project, we SunFrame was responsible for the construction of the building facade. And we have utilized a unitized curtain wall system which is custom-engineered and installed according to the actual architectural requirement. This system has the following key features:

  • High Thermal Insulation: Ensures energy efficiency and interior comfort.
  • Modular Unitized Design: Allows for faster installation and high precision in fabrication.
  • Strong adaptability: Effectively adapt to sloped and curved surfaces.
  • High Quality Materials: Quality glass and aluminum components guarantee the durability and appearance.
  • Air and Water Tightness: Have relative designs to meet international standards for performance and reliability.

Architectural Significance

The Sanlam Tower can be said to be an iconic modern building in Nairobi. The curtain wall system engineered by SunFrame has played a vital role in the architectural expression. Thanks to its smooth glass surfaces and seamless transitions, a façade with both futuristic and elegant features was finally created. What’s more, this façade is able to adapt to complex shapes without compromising its performance, reflecting the project’s dedication to innovation and design excellence.

Conclusion

Through the successful application of the unitized curtain wall system, we SunFrame significantly enhances the high performance and architectural features of the Sanlam Tower. And in this project, the curtain wall fully demonstrates the beauty and sustainability of the building. With its impressive scale, efficient design and visual impact, the Sanlam Tower has become a new landmark in the Kenyan capital.
